About the Role:

CURA is looking for experienced Freight Brokers to join our team as Truckload Account Executives. In this role, you will manage shipments throughout their lifecycle, drive new business, and serve as a key point of contact between our customers and freight carriers. You’ll collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries, all while maintaining high service standards.

This is an in-office role based in Tampa, FL. We are only considering candidates from the Tampa Bay area or those willing to relocate.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Secure new accounts while ensuring customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Identify and establish relationships with reputable carriers for freight services.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and provide accurate shipping quotes to customers.
  • Dispatch and track active loads (TL / Truckload / LTL) across North America.
  • Maintain daily communication with dispatchers and drivers to monitor load status and provide timely updates to customers.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Enter load data into our internal TMS system in real time as loads progress.
  • Develop a robust sales pipeline using the company CRM application to attract new prospects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to assist with customer billing and accounting responsibilities as needed.
  • Conduct 70+ prospecting calls daily to drive new business opportunities.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a freight broker or in a similar sales role within the logistics industry.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think creatively to solve problems.
  • Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-centric approach with a strong sense of accountability.
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively.
